Lord of the Flies

いくら ねって も ねむい な。。

.

Lazy Sunday and my keyboard is acting up. Still under my observation. See how it goes. Plan to go back home up north come November for the last time this year, after which the next time will be CNY in Feb 2010. Login to purchase the ticket and it's a whopping RM679.00. #**@##!%^^@(*)$#$(*%... (I can just go longer than this you know)

Yes, it's expensive by local standards. I don't even remember my Vietnam ticket being that expensive. But what to do when you don't have anymore annual leave and have to go back on festive holidays. Thinking of it makes me swear in all types of language, especially in Cantonese. But, since I am not as filial as I would like to be (translate that into, not calling mum often enough), I tried to make up by going back more often. Maybe, I can try the 10 hour torture instrument called long distance coach but I would like to arrive without looking like a 50 year old woman with a backache. I swear my back ages 10 years every time I have to suffer the ride home. I totally salute people who can sit 10-12 hours and snore their way to and fro the North South highway. No ever gonna work for me so have to bite the bullet and swipe that credit card. ~~ sigh

Mum came and fetch me from the airport. I kinda worried she will get lost when she said, " Fetch you from the Airport ar?... um.. usually it's people who fetch me one wor.." But my aunt, bless her, showed mum the way and happily she bring the kid along for the plane. Never see kid so happy to see me one..:)

My alma mater was very near the air port.. ah memories...

The airport was reopened after closed down for a very long time. Despite my grumblings, I am grateful that Firefly got the tender to use this airport. But I am sure Firefly is more grateful than me cause it is the only Monopoly company using this airport. If Air Asia don't come and give it some competition, soon it will be a FAT firefly with that kind of fees it is charging. The airport is so small, it only got one check in counter and no x-ray machine. Means you have to open your luggage and show that fellow you are not bringing little animals and bombs in your luggage.

It is really as small as it looks

The firefly is really as small as it's namesake. My mum said, " From far see so small, as it got closer, how come it is still small one..." Gave me 3 drops of sweat to hear that. It got 4 seats per rows only, like a bus. Only one door at the back and you just need about 8 steps and you are onboard. Nice, cozy and for 2 reasons I recommend it - 1. Got free food (cake and juice). 2. It allows my violin on board. So I look like this travelling violionist. I get a lot of admiring looks all the way. IF ONLY THEY KNEW.....

Beautiful Terrains...

Since the plane is small, it doesn't fly at a very high altitude. As a result you get to see the beautiful terrains on a good day all the way. A treat surely for a National Geography lover like me. Perhaps I can aquire some frequent flyer mileage with the rate I am flying.. ha ha ha.

just 2 rectify some info.

1st: ipoh airport is opening all this while. it opens for Ipoh-Medan's flight & flight is offered by 2 company. ipoh-kl flight by air asia is closed after abt 1 mth operation due to less bsness but they complained short running lane. now, Firefly is add-on player in ipoh airport.

2nd: Firefly sure will b FAT as local government subsidize them huge rm (for one yr if not mistaken) just to attract their flight. so maybe after 1 yr, d rate will increase dramatically oh!
